Is Google Wave Beneficial to SEO?
Internet User’s these days are going crazy over Google’s latest cutting edge communication tool, Google Wave. And millions of users are eager to test this new web communications platform. It is coded in JAVA OpenJDK and trendy interface called Google Web Toolkit. It is amazing and innovative but no one seems to be talking about its impact to SEO or search engine optimization service.
Google Wave has 8 important features and will be able to provide the following:
• Real – time communication between users
• Embeddability
• Applications and extensions
• Wiki functionality
• Open Source code
• Wave playback
• Natural language correction
• Drag and drop file sharing
These are promising helpful features and have potential to knock off twitter and would likely put google up with facebook as one of its useful social networks in the internet today. And about SEO, threaded conversations similar to a forum would provide SEO since forum threads are beneficial to SEO purposes. It is possible that google wave could end up being a web-based application rather than intra-based application.
Google applications and gadgets could provide SEO benefit. But If you allow webmasters to place your google wave applications on their site then you’ll get a link back. Google wave also provides Wiki functionality too.
Bottomline is that Google Wave is definitely not an effective SEO tool, and I don’t think most of the web developers and webmasters will find ways to improve its SEO functionality. It’s a matter of time to update the tool making it the best search engine marketing in the web today.
